Generally speaking, the cost of your helicopter pilot training will depend on the type of helicopter you choose to complete your flight hours.

payment terms
Upon signing the quote, the student makes an initial deposit of $5,000. This deposit will be used to finance the educational materials that we will provide upon arrival, as well as their first hours of theoretical and practical courses. For foreign nationals, this deposit will also allow us to issue a letter of acceptance to the school, necessary for the application for a Study Permit (CAQ) which will constitute your visa.
From the beginning of the CPL training, this deposit will have to be increased to approximately $10,000, which will then be gradually used to pay for the hours of instruction. Then, the student is encouraged to deposit money into the Hélicraft accounting department in increments of $2,000, $5,000 or other. These floating deposits will be gradually debited each week based on the number of hours of ground or flight instruction completed.
For the A.E.C professional helicopter pilot training, a 3-part payment schedule is detailed to the student in his quote. These terms comply with the requirements of the Quebec Ministry of Higher Education.
Financing and tax credits
For Canadian students or permanent residents wishing to integrate the A.E.C professional pilot training, we offer an exclusive financing partnership with the Desjardins financial institution.
For foreign students, Hélicraft being an establishment approved by the Ministry of Higher Education of Quebec, student loans can be granted to you with local institutions in an easier way. If you need support in your efforts, we will be able to assist you. All our professional training is also tax deductible (textbook and registration fees excluded).
Health insurance
Hélicraft manages a liability insurance for its students, which covers them completely during their training sessions.
Foreign students are, however, responsible for subscribing to health insurance for the duration of their training, on a private basis, including a repatriation guarantee.
