When I was a child, whenever someone asked me what animal I would want to be if I were one, I always answered, “A bird.” Flying made me dream; it gave me a sense of total freedom. I especially loved helicopters because they can go almost anywhere and land wherever they want. They’re very versatile machines, and that fascinated me. Flying in a helicopter was, for me, like being a bird, free to travel wherever I pleased.
My first flight with my family was a special moment to thank them for helping me pursue my dream of becoming a pilot. I had the chance to introduce them to the beauty of my profession and show them the splendor of the Montreal area as seen from the sky. Seeing their eyes light up as they admired the scenery from the air was an unforgettable experience. It’s a flight I will always remember with emotion and gratitude.
